In 2025, ENCOT Foundation transitioned into a fully operational development actor in Uganda’s Mid-Western region, using its Agricultural Value Chains Acceleration Model (AVCAM) to mobilise farmers, strengthen systems, and build partnerships for long-term impact.

About ENCOT Foundation

Locally rooted, systems-focused, and built for scalable rural transformation.

ENCOT Foundation was established in Masindi by indigenous community development practitioners and, in 2025, completed its first full year as a stand-alone development organisation with staff, governance systems, and field delivery capacity in place.

2025 Highlights

A first operational year with visible results, honest lessons, and stronger systems.

The report records 83 active production farmers, 378 acres under cultivation, 107 agricultural loans, and structured offtake arrangements that helped stabilise farm-gate pricing and market access.

  • Women held 4 of 9 cooperative leadership positions.
  • 16 persons with disabilities were intentionally enrolled in the cooperative.
  • 2026 priorities include SAAVE pilot rollout, climate-smart demo plots, and expansion to new districts.
